Electricity for the (new?) Laptop

Thinking of bringing a laptop to Thailand, what's the deal with the electricity and electrical connectors?
So I’m seriously looking at picking up a new laptop for my trip. At the moment my portable computer is a 3 year old Toshiba Portege 3500 (table PC) that’s had nothing but problems so far. It’s overheated so many times causing all kinds of crashes, there are keyboard problems, wifi card problems and the OS sucks (cuz it’s Windows). It’s in the repair shop in Edmonton right now, meaning it has to be done by today or tomorrow in order for me to have it by Friday as I leave for Ottawa this Sunday (thank God it’s coming up soon, I’m getting sick of Alberta). Instead of waiting and risking the Toshiba’s luck in Thailand, I’m thinking of buying an Apple Macbook Pro laptop from their refurbished models (like 23% off).
One of the problems I had in Spain of course, was with the electrical plug-ins for my laptop. The electricity is 220V which in itself isn’t a problem as most electronic devices with rechargable batteries are able to utilize electricity in the 100-240V range.
